Commissioning a Portrait

This is a brief guide to commissioning a portrait.

I’m very happy to offer more information on any aspect of my portraits and work, including your reference photos, my process, delivery or framing.

Get in touch – use the contact form or email your enquiry or order

Send some photos – add some photos to your message or email or send them separately later

Details – I’ll get back to you to confirm or discuss your requirements

Composition – I’ll email one or more digital compositions or ‘mock-ups’ for your approval or to help you choose

Quote – I’ll email a formal quote listing all details including size, medium, composition, and price and then add your commission to my list

Painting – I’ll start work on your portrait when you reach the top of my list

Approval – when your portrait is completed I’ll email a scan or photo for your approval

Adjustments – I’ll make any adjustments required

Invoice – when you are completely happy I’ll email your invoice which can be paid online with any debit or credit card or by Paypal or BACS

Payment – when payment has been received, your portrait will be safely packaged ready for posting

Delivery – your portrait will be posted; tracked and insured, for delivery within 2 days to UK addresses

Feedback – I’d be delighted if you’d leave a review or feedback. It’s always lovely to see a photo your portrait when it’s been framed and hung too.
